The Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service hosted an event, Muslims in Australia: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives, on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 that featured a talk by Dr. Nahid Afrose Kabir.
Dr. Nahid Afrose Kabir is a Visiting Researcher at the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, USA. Nahid Kabir is the author of Muslims in Australia: Immigration, Race Relations and Cultural History, London: Routledge 2005; Young British Muslims: Identity, Culture, Politics and the Media, Edinburgh: Edinburgh University Press 2010; Young American Muslims: Dynamics of Identity, Edinburgh: Edinburgh University Press 2013; and Muslim Americans: Debating the Notions of American and Un-American, London: Routledge 2016. Dr Kabir’s current research topic is titled “An Investigation into the Radicalization of Young American Muslims.”
